What is an NFT?

An NFT (Non-fungible token) is a unique digital asset that resides on the blockchain. It represents ownership — either of art, video, music, and more.

An NFT is a collectible digital asset, which holds value as a form of cryptocurrency and as a form of art, culture, or exclusivity.

NFTs gained mainstream traction in 2020–2021 as some of the most notable NFTs have been sold in real-world auctions for as high as millions of dollars per piece.

Riding the PFP NFT Wave

Profile Picture (PFP) NFTs are all the rage in this 2021 summer. Cryptopunks and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) are some of the notable projects in this category and usually supported by social media influencers, athletes, and even established financial institutions. PFP NFTs are not just about making money by flipping them.

When you put up a PFP NFT as your social media avatar, you are participating in a community of crypto and art enthusiasts. If you happen to hold a rare high-value NFT, you also gain higher status and popularity within that community. It is like an elite “badge” that brings a sense of status, fame, and belonging among its holders.

Sun Finance aims to replicate the same effect by utilizing its artistically-crafted NFTs by not just bringing a cool social media avatar opportunity, but will also serve as specially crafted “keys” or “passes” to future launches and support upcoming De-Fi projects. Truly, they are artistic, cool NFTs with visible utility.

Why NFTs as a launchpad requirement?

Apart from the fact that NFTs are not extremely volatile because people can’t create a significant impact on the floor price like it can be the case for standard tokens, NFT traders will also look for the art and style. Sun Finance will utilize NFTs as its main launchpad requirement.

The Fantom Apes of the Sun Army (FASA)

5,000 NFTs under the project name Fantom Apes of the SUN Army (FASA) will be minted in exchange for SUN tokens. This way, the NFTs itself will have its own value based on the current NFT rarity, trend, and demand.

All the FASA NFTs will be unique in traits such as:

• Era
• Anger Score
• Skin Color
• Weapon
• Attire
• Accessories

They will have their own rarity scores (rarity table shall be revealed after the mint event) and they will be tradeable on a marketplace. Exclusive partnerships and club events will also be organized for the benefit of the holders.

How to gain access to FASA NFTs

Sun Finance tokens initially launched as a standard token in the Fantom network.

Once the FASA NFTs are ready, prospective buyers and holders shall be able to mint in the SUN Finance Dapp (in development) in exchange of SUN tokens.

One NFT will be equivalent to 180,000 as originally planned.

The upcoming launchpad on Q1 2022 shall require holders to have at least 5 FASA NFTs to participate.

Mint Date

The much anticipated FASA NFT mint date will be on October 19, 2021 (set your calendars!). We will release a stream of announcements and reminders prior to the event.

How to buy $SUN Tokens for the NFT Mint

You can buy $SUN tokens using Fantom tokens in Spiritswap DEX.

1. Make sure you have setup Metamask to the FTM network
2. Get some FTM coins (either from exchanges like Binance, or you can swap it using bridges such as Spookyswap)
3. Go to Spiritswap or click this link:

1. Make sure that your slippage is set to 10–12% for the transaction to go through
2. Input the amount of FTM you want to spend and click Swap.
3. Confirm the transaction in Metamask and wait it to be confirmed by the network
4. Please take note that the maximum buy amount per transaction is 5 million tokens, exceeding this amount will result in a failed transaction. You can use multiple buys in 5million token amounts each if you want to secure more tokens.

Remember that you will need roughly around 900,000 tokens to mint and secure 5 NFTs as a launchpad requirement.
